The Simmons' [Family Session]

Spending an afternoon with Robin, Ryan, Brandon & Kendall leaves zero room for a dull moment! I met up with these 4 in Mill Creek right before the snow hit on a blustery November afternoon. We thought for sure we were going to have a snow filled session, but the accumulation had melted in the hours leading up to our appointment and the clouds held it in the whole time! We made the best of the chilly afternoon, walking around the trails with the kids hiding behind trees and swinging upside down from the fence posts. Always a fun time with the Simmons'! Thank you for inviting me to capture a few of your moments!

Alexis & Baby Jack [in momma's belly]

Alexis & I had a quick little session at a park overlooking the water in Everett on her due date (11.12.10)of all days! Her & her husband Adam chose not to find out the sex of the baby & I think they may just be the calmest ones about the surprise! Only a couple of days after this (11.15.10), Jack Thomas made his debut. Congratulations Adam, Alexis & Ayden & welcome to the world Baby {boy!} Jack!

Lenny [Headshots]

When Lenny contacted me about doing some headshots for him to have on hand for school (he is studying law at UW), I was really excited at the opportunity to try something new. Headshots were a path I hadn’t yet traveled & I had so many thoughts and ideas. We met up on Capitol Hill and ended our session on campus. Catching up with Lenny was a lot of fun. We carried on thoughts, opinions & guesses about the new season of Dexter & had a few good laughs throughout our session. All in all, with it all said and done, we are both happy with the end result.

Road tripin' [Spokane sessions with Grant, Austin, Jorjanna, & Jon + Candace]

In October I hit the road and took a solo little road trip to Spokane, Wa for a few family sessions. No road trip from Seattle to Spokane is complete without at least one stop at the Thorp Fruit Stand & Antique Mall, especially with photo sessions on the mind! I could've spent all day rummaging through all the good stuff they had, though my wallet had a different view. :]

All 4 of my sessions took place on a {gorgeous} Saturday afternoon in various nooks and crannies at Manito Park {which is stunning, if ever in Spokane, you have got to check it out!}.

My first session of the day kicked off with Jon & Candace who are very dear to my heart. The love they share is unconditional and extremely inspiring. I am so lucky to have these two in my life & to have been able to spend a day in their lives capturing some of the love {and humor} that they share. To five years and counting! Happy Anniversary!

My second session was with Grant. Infant sessions are one of my favorites. I met up with Grant & his Mama, Heather under some gorgeous fall trees on a blanket of warm autumn colors {all the fallen leaves!}. What a snugly little guy! He was amazing throughout the shoot, so alert & hungry for his chubby little hands (thanks for the challenge, little guy!)! He was so warm & snugly, it was hard to refrain from squishing him the whole time!

My second session was with Grant's cousin, Austin- What a handsome little guy (who knew exactly what to do behind the lens!). We played ball, climbed rocks & hills, & rolled around in the grass! Some of the most fun I've had with a session!

Next, I spent some {super fun} time with Jorjanna & her parents. I'd been waiting to meet the Logan's for what seemed like forever & was so excited to finally have the chance, as well as the opportunity to snap a few photos of a day in their lives! Jorjanna & I had a blast watching & feeding the ducks {two bites for JJ, one bite for the ducks}, rolling around on the ground, playing princess, looking through a few old books, & throwing leaves around! Can't wait to meet up again soon!

I had an amazing time with all of these families! Can’t wait to visit again soon! Until next time Spokane...
