A Designer's Dreamland

I was recently invited into the home of Kelley Moore, local Seattle Lifestyle Expert and Designer Extraordinaire and I have to say- it was incredible to say the least! She and her husband, Brent have been (what Kelley calls) 'infusing' their home, room by room. Every single room of her gorgeous Seattle home speaks to her impeccable style and expertise. Vintage/antique has always been a big love and inspiration of mine and the way that Kelley takes unique pieces and infuses them with modern touches simply amazes me. As with a few of my other projects, this one will come in pieces, bit by bit and again, you may be able to see more by picking up a magazine or two sometime in the not too distant future. You can count on me keeping you posted as they are revealed room by room, piece by piece! And you can also follow Kelley's blog 'For the Love of Design' as she shares sneak peeks of swatches and photos that brought inspiration for each room of the house.

A Few Faces

Here is a small handfull of the portrait work I have had fun with. Portraits are a lot of fun and a very quick and sure way to get to know your subject. I have learned throughout my experiences 2 big things (amongst a whole lot of others), trust in a photographer is key and a decent photo cant tell a lie. My favorite thing about portrait work is capturing a single precious moment in time and being able to then go back and capture the feelings that are written out on the face. It's similar to the expression of one 'wearing his heart on his sleeve'- Many emotions are painted onto the human face, most of us just aren't stop long enough to see them.

Muse Coffee

Ohhhhhh, Coffee. Let me just start out by saying this: I am what is referred to as a 'frilley coffee drinker'. I love my coffee robust and pronounced, don't get me wrong. But I also love it dressed up with sugary sweetness. I thought I might have to cut back on the coffee, in order to cut back on my waist size--- Until I had the pleasure of (what my mind was tricked into believing was indulging) sipping on a cup of some of the best coffee I have ever, ever had.

Meet Muse Coffee .

Located in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood at 1907 10th Avenue West, Muse Coffee is all about Inspired Coffee, Inspired Atmosphere, Inspired Service. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel comfortable and inspired and the moment you walk out the door, you'll never see coffee quite the same.

Currently, Muse is in the running for Best Coffee Shop in 2010's Best of Western Washington so be sure to stop in, have a delicious creation made by the awesome staff and VOTE August 30th!

Tulalip Resort Wedding: Kris + Kristine

Two friends of mine recently said 'I do' and asked me to be a part of the big day! They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Tulalip Resort in Marysville. I hadn't yet been there since it was built and was I ever surprised at the gorgeous backdrops, luxurious bridal suite and a gorgeous grand staircase descending to an Oasis pool area. The bride was the calmest and most collected (not to mention- GORGEOUS) I had ever seen. And the groom, anxious and excited at the moment to call her his wife. Family and close friends joined together on the warm and brightly sunned afternoon to celebrate the union of 2 that really and truly make one great pair.

Thank you Kris and Kristine for inviting me in as your photographer. It was an incredible experience!
